From start to finish, the Hornets' Chris Paul led the way in NBA.com's
Rookie Rankings for 2005-06.
Paul received 124 out of a possible 125 first-place votes (623 points)
from a panel of sportswriters and broadcasters throughout the United
States and Canada, the largest percent of votes since David Robinson
received 100 percent of first-place votes in 1989-90. Players were
awarded five points for each first-place vote, three points for each
second-place vote and one point for each third-place vote received.
Toronto’s Charlie Villanueva finished second with 248 points and
Milwaukee’s Andrew Bogut finished third with 98 points.

Paul, the fourth overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, averaged rookie
highs of 16.1 points, 7.8 assists, 2.24 steals and posted 21 double-doubles
to lead the Hornets to a 20-win improvement over last season, the biggest
turnaround in the NBA this season. He led the league in total steals with
175, becoming only the second rookie in NBA history to accomplish that feat
(Brevin Knight, 1997-98), ranked third in steals per game, fifth in total
assists (611) and seventh in assists per game.

Paul received the T-Mobile Western Conference Rookie of the Month award
every month of the 2005-06 season, joining David Robinson, Tim Duncan,
Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James as the only players in league history to
win the award every month. Paul is in the top 10 in eight out of 10 rookie statistical categories. In addition to ranking first in points, assists,
steals, double-doubles, minutes (36.3 mpg) and free throw percentage (.847),
Paul ranks third in rebounds (5.1 prg) and fourth in field goal percentage
(.430).

Paul Millsap 'The Paperboy'(#24 Utah Jazz Forward) made same score

Paul Millsap was impressive during the 2007 All-Star Rookie Versus
Sophomores Game. The rookie forward with the Utah Jazz recorded 22
points, eight rebounds, an assist and two steals in just over 27
minutes played.
Millsap was selected by the Jazz in the second round (47th overall)
of the 2006 NBA Draft.He is the only player in NCAA basketball
history to lead the nation in rebounding for three consecutive years.

David Lee hit all 14 of his field-goal attempts for a game-high
30 points as the Sophomore beat the Rookies for the fifth
consecutive year.
Lee, who added 11 rebounds and four assists, took home MVP of

"Garbo"was named the Eastern Conference T-Mobile
Rookies of the December 2006.
Garbajosa increased his averages for the month by
3.0 points, 1.4 rebounds, 9.6 minutes and 1.3 assists,
and tied for first among rookies in double-doubles(three).
He also had nine 10-plus scoring games in December and
led the team in scoring once, rebounds four times and
assists once. Garbajosa currently leads the team
with 37 steals.

Western Conference Rookies of the December 2006

Randy Foye Minnesota Timberwolves’
Foye, the seventh overall pick in the 2006 NBA Draft,
led the Western Conference rookies in scoring (9.6 ppg),
assists (2.3 apg) and free throw accuracy (90.9 percent)
in December, while hitting 47.6 percent from the field.
He reached double figures in scoring for every game in
the month, including the Dec. 29 win over Seattle, where
he collected 12 points, a season high seven rebounds and
five assists.
Foye ranks third among Western Conference rookies in
scoring (8.0 ppg), third in steals (.79 stpg) and fifth in
assists (1.7 apg).
